One of the great parts about having an automated robot is being able to precisely mix, deposit, and run reactions without much intervention. This year, a greater emphasis will be placed on utilizing the Opentrons to accelerate your final projects.
1.1. Describe your protocol.

In preparation, we would like you to write a description about what task you intend to use the machine to perform. While your idea doesn’t need to be set in stone, we would like to see core details of what you would automate.
Albedo is the porcentaje of light that is reflected from a certain surface, the bigger the albedo value is, the less light that is absorbed by the surface it impacts.
In a context of climate change, with increasing temperatures and radiation, most crops are subjected to this extreme weather conditions, producing dehidration, celular damage, among other negative effects. The increase in the albedo of leafe surface is used by the plant Encelia farinosa to survive drught season. We could generate bacteria that produce white pigments, proteins (such as casein) or byoplimers and use it as byoprotectants for drought seasons.
The optimization of production of this agent could be achieved using continous evolution aproach. Where the bacteria are exposed to a high mutation step, then albedo or uv absorption can be measured, and then the best candidates be selected.
